IMA1402 Classes consist of 3 Passes. Master Liu will advise where your practice level is and if you are ready to move to the next Pass. Looking forward to see many successful crossings.
Blue Pass/Junior Training: Zhan Zhuang (Pillar) method - Standing Stance.
This is the fundamental training of Chinese traditional martial arts. By following the requirements for the standing stance we cultivate Qi and strengthen the body. At the junior level training classes are focused on teachings about the meridian system of TCM, basic principles of Qi and blood, and conditions of the body energy system. The goal of junior level practice is to open meridians and improve circulation of Qi and blood.
Yellow Pass/Intermediate training: Quan (Fist) method - Practice in Motion
Once the meridians are open and the flow of qi and blood is uninterrupted you are ready for the practice in motion. The Fist method combines traditional practices of Bagua step, basic forms of Xingyi and principles of Taichi push hands. The goal of this level is to learn how to effectively use Qi to move body. With its own unique approach these traditional teachings are also applied in the forms of defence and attack.
Red Pass/Advanced training: Qigong and Daogong
The highest form of internal martial arts is the practice of directing Qi with mind, through non-movement (Wuxing). Using mind stimulations practitioner reaches absolute harmony between body and mind. The goal of this level is to increase the understanding of natural laws and how to deal with change. At this stage the art of defense and attack becomes our second nature i.e. we learn how to quickly respond and adapt to change.
